Detox
Your liver and kidneys work overtime to filter your blood and the after-effects of daily consumption, just to deliver the nutrients you take in to keep your body going. They also filter out and help you purge toxins.
But when there are more toxins than it can handle, the cells of your body can get over-taxed with these excess toxins. Instead of being naturally released or purged from your body, when toxins are abundant they can accumulate and store themselves away in fat cells, soft tissue, mucosa and muscles. And worse, they can barrage your life sustaining vital organs.
When you take in too many of the toxins that attack your body from the food you eat, your organs get taxed and work less efficiently. This can lead to progressive suffering and illness.
When your body fights toxins, the common symptoms you may experience include diarrhea, coughs, rashes, a runny nose or recurring infection. These side effects are all mechanisms used by your body to protect your cells from toxins.
Too much of anything can cause a toxic overload. This includes sugar, fat, and bacteria. Toxins are also in perfumed soaps and lotions, and in the air around you including smog. Too many chemicals, too much alcohol and even too much stress can produce negative reactions inside you body, and take a big toll on your physical and mental health. These stressors can directly or indirectly introduce toxic matter into your cells, causing damage, reducing strength and immunity, and downshifting your entire health level. Toxins weaken your system, and you are only as strong as your weakest link.
Toxins go in easily, but it’s not as simple to get them out. But a detox can help coax them out, so you can stop, correct and even reverse systemic damage to the organs and cells that make up your body.
During a detox, you will dramatically reduce your intake of harmful foods, and increase the actions that coax toxins out of your cells, like the purging of fat cells from an infrared sauna. Or you can take supplements that coax toxins out of your cells, muscles, and vital organs. Once the toxins are coaxed out of your cells, they can leave your body several ways, including through your blood stream, bowels and sweat.
When your organs have fewer debilitating toxins, your energy is conserved and can be used to strengthen cells instead of just repairing them. Instead of fixing damage, your body’s energy can be used to optimize the way you look and feel.
Cleanse
While a DETOX is more geared to nurture, boost and in general, restore health to your liver and kidneys, a CLEANSE is more geared to safely clean out your digestive tract. A cleanse is more about gut health.
A DETOX can help pull toxins out of your organs and bloodstream after years of consumption ranging from chemicals in air pollution to intake of heavy metals (from tooth fillings, etc.) and weekends of too much fun. A cleanse that’s high in fiber and fluid can refresh and support your digestive tract and system, and help keep things moving through and out of your body with ease.
A low-calorie, high nutrient cleanse is also more geared than a detox, to help you shed fat and lose weight. The reduction in calories helps your cells break down and release stored fat, which is then shuttled to your bloodstream for elimination.
A detox will help your body extract and excrete toxins and metabolites from your liver and kidney. This will make them function much more efficiently, making you feel better. Because your vital organs work more efficiently, this will also support your efforts to successfully stored reduce fat and lose weight.
With the nutrient boost that supports your organs and digestive system, both a cleanse and detox can help encourage cell growth in your brain. This gives you more mental clarity which positively impacts your mental health, energy levels and overall well being.
