Real Age May Be Different Than Biological Age
Aging, by definition, is the passing of time. The technical definition of aging is a bit different. It refers to the state of deterioration of the cells in your body. The deterioration is accelerated by free radicals that attack and kill off healthy cells faster than new ones are created. At some point, new cells will no longer be created, leaving you in a deficient and damaged state to keep your body going.
Your organs work far less efficiently when they are damaged, so this chips away at your immunity, and causes you to be weaker and more vulnerable to the onset of illness and disease. So essentially, intra-cellular deterioration slowly strips you of your youth.

Aging is simply the biological process of growing older. While we all age at the same calendar rate, our biological age can vary greatly. Just think of the young 70 year-old you’ve recently met, or the 35-year old that seems to have aged beyond their years.
Some people seem to grow old quickly, while some seem to have found a fountain of youth. And maybe they have. For that reason, these are the people I’d like to focus on. There are, in fact, ways people can slow the aging process. Some people have even seemed to find ways to defy the aging clock altogether.
Note though, that fighting aging isn’t all about your looks. It is also about fighting inflammation, pain and the many physical discomforts that happen as your body becomes weaker as you grow older. Doing something as simple as taking a calcium supplement or lifting light weights can help prevent broken bones, and weakness due to deteriorating muscles. You do have the power to make simple choices and actions that can have a dramatic effect on your life and your physical and mental health.
How do some people stay so biologically young?
While staying young is related to many things including genes, it truly boils down to how well you manage and upkeep your health. A dedicated regimen that includes a good diet and nutrition, proper skin care, regular exercise and good gut health will help you stave off aging.
In addition to healthy habits, there are a number of ways you can reduce or even reverse the signs of aging in and outside of your body. Internal practices include cleanses and detox, strategic caloric intake and targeted fasting. External practices include consistent physical activity and different in-home or clinical skin and body treatments.
